Andrew’s interests are in the history of medicine, public health, and health policy. He recently completed his dissertation, “Eating to Learn, Learning to Eat: School Meals and Nutrition Policy in the United States, 1900-1946,” which examines the development of school lunch and nutrition programs for children from their beginnings in the late 19th century to the passage of the National School Lunch Act in 1946. He is currently Adjunct Professor of History at Cardinal Stritch University.
